LEAPP was appointed as the airport planning and development adviser to the Airport Authority to review and validate the Airport Master Plan. This involved carrying out a strategic assessment of the master plan and developing modifications to the airside development proposals.
LEAPP undertook a review and updating of earlier primary level forecasts that had been prepared for IIAC by an academic institution. Updated primary air traffic forecasts were prepared for the Phase 2 Master Plan Period, which was aimed at developing the first passenger concourse in the midfield of the airport, and additional taxiway and apron development works. LEAPP subsequently carried out the Phase 2 Master Planning to test the phasing of additional airside capacity, the impact of airspace constraints to the north of the airport, and operations on airside.
