Under funding from the European Union (DGXVI), LEAPP professionals carried out a technical review of the national requirement for upgrading the ATC enroute radar surveillance coverage with the Athens and Macedonia Flights Information Regions.
This involved assessing proposed radar coverage by primary and monopulse secondary radar systems to ensure a failsafe duplicate radar system over Greece. Procurement specification and contracting systems were reviewed and requirements established to implement these systems.
