LEAPP was appointed by the Trinidad & Tobago Airport Authority to provide project management services during the commissioning of the new passenger terminal building. The objectives of the assistance programme were to assess the degree of completion of the terminal building and aprons, determine the areas of greatest risk for failure at start-up of operations, define an action plan to ensure that the vital components of the terminal would be operable on opening day, and create a contingency plan for those elements of the terminal and systems that could be subject to failure on or immediately prior to opening day and thereby jeopardising a smooth commissioning. LEAPP also reviewed the plan to transfer operations from the old terminal to the new and provided assistance in the definition of the transfer programme.
