Phase II Master Plan
LEAPP was retained as part of an international team to provide airport planning services to local engineering consultant, Yooshin, in the master plan review and update for the new 100mppa airport serving the capital of South Korea. Specific studies carried out by staff for the Phase II Master Plan included:

• Review of air traffic forecasts to determine the impact of future peak period passenger and aircraft volumes,   future aircraft mix and parking stand requirements

• Airside capacity assessment using computer simulation for two close-spaced parallel runways, to establish   the need and timing for two additional runway,. simulation of the 3rd and 4th runway airport was conducted to   establish the ultimate capacity of the airside system

• Passenger terminal capacity analysis to determine capacity constrained elements within the terminal, and the critical timing for   enhancement of the passenger processing facilities

• Planning and design of terminal airspace procedures to assess the impact of the restricted airspace   associated with the Demilitarized Zone immediately to the north of the airport
